Luc Jasmin III

My name is Luc Jasmin III, and I am the owner of Parkview Early Learning Center in North Spokane, President and founder of the Washington Childcare Centers Association, and co-Executive Director of GLOW Children Early Learning Center. I also currently serve as a Commissioner on a police oversight committee, a Tri-Chair for the Washington State Chamber of Commerce Childcare Collaborative Task Force, board member on a organization dedicated to housing and Community Minded Enterprises, Co-Executive Director for Northeast Youth and Family Services, and a member of the City’s housing subcommittee, Spokane Early Learning for All, Greater Spokane Incorporated, and the Association of Washington Businesses. Most importantly, I am currently running for Spokane City Council, District 1, Position 2 and I’d like to earn your vote on August 3rd.
Luc’s parents, Luc Jr. and Marie Jasmin, who came to the United States as immigrants, also inspire him because he remembers their hardships when he was a child, and how hard they worked every single day to overcome them. Despite their own struggles, they generously shared what they had with others. Lifting people up, he says, “I think that’s why we’re here.”

Jasmin has big plans for serving even more people in his community, which include supporting music and financial literacy programs for the BIPOC community in Spokane and supporting ways to provide affordable childcare to all families. He would also like to take action to improve housing, public safety, and jobs/economic development.
